GPSO Announcement Policy
The GPSO is happy to include many announcements in our weekly announcement email to the gradaute student population. The purpose of the GPSO Announcements email is to inform graduate students of events and opportunities that are of specific value to the graduate student population. Priority is given to events sponsored by the GPSO and our affiliates, and also to announcements that directly tie to any of the 4 GPSO pillars: Academic support, community building, student advocacy and resources for graduate students.
Announcements are sent every Thursday. The submission deadline is 5pm the Tuesday prior to the announcements being sent.
To submit an announcement request, please send a text-only email detailing your event or announcement to gpso@indiana.edu. If you have a weblink, you may include that also. Announcement requests sent as attachments, pdf's or any other format will not be accepted.
If you are a student group on campus and would like the GPSO to advertise a specific event or make a specific announcement, please make a unique submission following the above instructions. Including or forwarding to the GPSO from your listserv is not an acceptable way to submit an event or announcement. If you would like to GPSO to include your organization's website or contact information on our website as a resource for the GPSO, please send an email to gpso@indiana.edu with your request.
As owners and managers of the GPSO Announcements, we reserve the right to filter, edit and ultimately decide what is advertised through our list.
