Hello graduate and professional students, my name is Jake Burns. I am a first year masters of public affairs (MPA) student at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. I currently am a graduate assistant for the SPEA Masters Program Office for recruitment, and the graduate advisor for the Sigma Nu Beta Eta Chapter. Prior to coming to IU Bloomington, I earned a Bachelors of Arts from Manchester University in Political Science and Communication Studies. My hobbies and interests include traveling to Western Europe, swimming, and watching any episode of “Friends.” I grew up in La Porte county, Indiana were I attended La Porte High school. I am excited to be a IU Hoosier and love all that Bloomington has to offer students. One of my passions is higher education leadership, which is why I serve in GPSG. I love watching young adults fulfill their dreams and work towards a collective goal.
