Gopi has received both the student-nominated WIC Inspirational Teacher Award and the Graduate Student Award via the IU Commission on Multicultural Understanding for his promotion of diversity through teaching efforts. He has contributed significantly to instructional content and design for multiple courses and workshops in the School of Informatics and Computing, and his student evaluations consistently commend his ability to foster high level thinking and consideration of multiple perspectives in problem solving.
